Ambrosia is a new winter Canadian apple variety, ripening in late October or early November. The fruit weighs about 215 grams, mostly red with yellow stains. The apple has a sweet taste, looks like a pear and is characterized by good winter hardiness and drought resistance, is resistant to diseases.
This variety was originated in British Columbia in the early 1990s. The first tree was revealed by the Mannell family, they found it in their garden in Similkamin-Valley, British Columbia.
